In the morning session we managed to get the beginner group on the water learning to steer the boat and the advanced group sailed around a triangle tacking and many jibing in what was a solid breeze.
The afternoon racing got away at 13:30 with a reduced fleet due to the NS14s deciding not to sail and Bang Bang having an issue getting on the water.
The race had just four Sabres and one B14 and the breeze was WNW which was dying from around 10-14 knots with stronger gusts to more like 10 or even less for most of the race. Phantom build a good lead up the first windward but struggled to extend enough in the lighter breeze that also moved through W to SW. Wettas with Jo-Anne Verrier at the helm did a great job to head the sabres from brother Guy and Phil hanging on next. By the end of the race the Sabres came home with a building breeze but Wettas held the lead for a great win over Wasabi from Loose Change..
The second race had even less starters with Phantom heading back in along with On the Edge and got under way at 14:37 in a stronger breeze of around 15 knots with gusts to 20 knots.
It was quite a quick race and was headed by Loose Change from Wasabi but at the finish they both failed to sail through the finish line leaving Wettas to take a second win.
The results were: Race one Wettas Jo-Anne Verrier first Loose Change Phil Bloomfield second and On the Edge Lewis Bowen third.
Race two: Wettas first.
Overall Wettas first.
