A very nice day if a bit cool, with the trainees out on the water in the Pacers in a very light breeze in the morning.
After lunch a good fleet of four Sabres two B14s and five NS14s heading out for a boat start in a gentle SSE breeze of around 6-8 knots with the breeze freshening at the very end of the final race..
It was a very short course with just two laps a Triangle followed by a sausage with a down wind finish.
The B14s had a good battle with Early Warning home first three times and Bang Bang twice. The NS14s Viva la Vida home first twice and Pumpkin Eater, Sundaze and Serenity once each.
In the Sabres About Time was home first in each race though closely followed by Wasabi.
The handicap results were
Race one: First Bang Bang Stephen Mitchell and Steve Miller, second Early Warning Ross Daley and Tony VanGalen, third Rocket Man Marlene Nichols
Race two First Early Warning, second Bang Bang third LMG Michael Verrier
Race three First Rocket Man, second Wasabi Guy McDougall, third About Time Chris Keil
Race four First Bang Bang, second Early Warning, third About Time
Race five First Rocket Man, second Wasabi, third About Time.
