The day got away with a near perfect westerly for the trainees to get out on the water.
Then in the morning race, three of the Bics were racing as well as a Sabre.
With rest of the fleet was made up of two B14s and two NS14s and a lone cat.
Racing got away at 12:06 in a light south westerly which moved around quite a but during the race.
The leading boats quickly (for the light air) opend up a big gap over the little boats with the Bics finding the breeze a bit too light.
At the front Phantom and Bang Bang were having a close tussle with Pumpkin Eater right in the mix.
At the first mark Harrison and Hamish were neck and neck with Alistair a short distance back with Tim in the Sabre. Soon Ali pulled away from Tim with Luke totally relaxed at the back of the fleet.
The breeze settled in for a short time filling the entire course as the leading boats completed the first lap with Serenity starting to close a little on the leaders.
By the time the trainees completed one lap Hamish was in the lead and Tim had overtaken Ali.
Next Hamish got in irons and Harrison took the lead which he held to until the finish despite the wind dropping out and the fleet ghosting home.
Bang Bang took the gun from Pumpkin Eaterwith Serenity well back.
In the Trainees it was Harry first Hamish second and Ali third.
Others Pumpkin Eater Darren Eggins first Bang Bang Stephen Mitchell and Michael Semelbauer second and Wild Cat Luke Spink third.
The afternoon race got away in a reasonable SSE sea breeze that was not very convincing with five NS14s three Sabres two B14s and a cat getting away at 14:40.
As the port end of the line was favoured sailing along on starboard was the go and then tacking at the gun, which saw Phantom get the jump and had a nice lead at the top mark then a group of NS14s and a gap back to the Sabres.
The boats continued to spread out around the course with Bang Bang closing on Phantom and clearing out from the NS14s who were having a good battle with Spinifex, Serenity and Pumpkin Eater all vying for the lead.
Despite a couple of surges to the lead by Bang Bang, Phantom was first home ahead of Bang Bang with Serenity just clear of Pumpkin Eaterand Spinifex third NS.
Hedgehog was next with Almost sailed one up the last of the NS14s.
About Time managed to hold off Wasabi after a tight tussle all race and Rocket Man lost her mast and was forced to retire.
On handicap it was About Time Chris Keil first Pumpkin Eater Darren Eggins and Alistair Lord second and Phantom Steve Miller and Lauren Bird third.
