Just the one race today and despite the early forecast of light winds again it was great sailing on Pittwater.

Race 10 got away at 13:10 in a lovely SE breeze of 13 knots there were some tight tussles in the fleet with quite a bit of snakes and ladders going on and after the first lap the windward mark was moved a fair bit but not all competitors noticed the change and quite a few boats , including the leading bunch overstood the top mark that lap.

By the finish it was however Craig Garmston & Paul Fleming in Snatch who took the gun giving them nine firsts out of 10 races for an impressive series win. Second was Richie Reynolds and Lissa McMillan in The Nude third was Nick Richardson & Natalia Wisniewska in Rocket Ship and in fourth sailing a great series Renee & Rob Cordingly in RCS Side Effects.

Overall it was

Snatch Craig Garmston & Paul Fleming first 1-1-1-1-1-1-(3)-1-1-(1)=8

Rocket Ship Nick Richardson & Natalia Wisniewska second 2-3-2-3-2-2-(4)-(3)-2-3=19 

The Nude Richie Reynolds & Lissa McMillan third (6)-2-6-2-3-(16)-2-2-3-2=22

On handicap it was Blown Seal Rob Winn and Tom Carolyn in first Postage Stamp Richard McMinn and Lucy Rees second and Bangbang Scott Foster & Tony Miller in third.

And after a very sucessful event I must thank our wonderful volunteers without whom events like this are not possible, firstly our Commodore Michael Verrier who was in a rescue boat each day and helped bring it all together. Marlene Nichols canteen manager who worked tirelessly all week with Suzanne Davidson, Jo-Anne Verrier and Karen Lovering. An outstanding effort by Helen Eggins in the start boat wrestling wayward anchors with assistant Andrew Verrier keeping records and Safiya Davidson assisting and taking photos.

In the rescue boats Michael Semelbauer, Stephen Mitchell, Shane Gorringe, Stan Foster, Chris Jones, Chris Keil, Mark Donovan Sam Bailey and Matt Gerden with Darren Eggins helping on shore.
