Some great sailing today with solid NW to NNW breeze lots of holes and direction changes keeping the fleet on their toes.
The breeze was as high as 25knots in the gusts and the base breeze between 10 and 17 knots.
Race one got away at 10:13 with Early Warning off to a flyer and leading all the way to the finish to issue an early warning to the rest of the fleet. Phantom was second and after a capsize on lap one Rocket Ship moved through the fleet to finish third.
Race two got away at 10:50 with the fleet splitting left and right up the first leg with Rocket Ship maintaining good speed and came home first from Phantom in second and Early Warning in third.
Race three got aweay at 11:29 with Jumpin' Jack Flash doing well up the first windward and held on the finish third with Rocket Ship in first and Phantom in second.
Race four got away at 12:05 with Phantom holding on for a win from Rocket Ship and Early Warning in third.
Race five started at 12:45 with Rocket Ship taking the gun from Phantom in second and Jumpin Jack Flash in third.
The final race got away at 13:30 with initially a dying breeze and Phantom came out on top with a good lead at the top mark and holding on all the way to the top mark again but Rocket Ship picked up a puff after rounding the top mark and got through into the lead to win from Phantom with Jumpin' Jach flash in third.
In the end only one boat Phantom finished the entire regatta without a capsize.

Phantom Steve Miller and Fletcher McCormack (2),2,2,1,2,2 9 points second
Early Warning Ross Daley and Tony Van Galen 1,3,(7), 3,4,4 15 points third

Coldplay Darren Eggins and Sam Bailey second
On the Edge Brady Tassiker and Matt Wooler third
A huge thank you to all our fantastic volunteers who made the series possible starting with Helen Eggins assisted by Andrew Verrier in the start boat Michale Semelbauer, Michael Verrier, John Townsend and Shane Gorringe in the rescue/mark laying boats and Suzanne and Gabby in the canteen.
Great to see some new and a few old faces back on the water enjoying the thrills and spills of skiff racing.
