Christmas Break day, Santa and Allsands Trophy

Christmas Breakup day started early with a group of trainees on the water for one more sail in near perfect conditions. There was lots of progress made and a well worth while exercise. Followed by Santa who arrived by boat to delight the little ones. Then the Allsands Trophy race in the afternoon followed by a BBQ tea to finish of the first half of the season.

It was great to see a number of extra and extended family members arrive to see Santa.

The Allsands race got away at 14:23 in a lovelly SE breeze with a fleet of four Sabres three NS14s and a B14 and Open Skiff.

It was good sailing with tight racing in the Sabre and NS fleet and by the finish it was Phantom Steve Miller and Sarah Krulow first five minutes clear of Serenity then Viva la Vida another minute and a half back a similar time ahead of Noiseworks Stephen Townsend and Georgia Ottway. In the Sabres Wasabi Guy McDougall was just under seven minutes astern and Loose Change Phil Bloomfield next just ten seconds astern then the two new Sabres Wind Wizard six and a half minutes back then On the Edge Shane Gorringe another five minutes back and finally Tera phobic Jaden Gadeschke.

On handicap it was

Serenity Scott and Natasha Wilkie first Viva la Vida Darren Eggins and Alastair Lord second and Wind Wizard Sarah Michael third.
