Published Mon 19 Feb 2024

The regatta was blessed with two days of superb sailing conditions and our sailors performed very well.

It was a good turn up with 34 boats on the bravo course with 10 from Lindisfarne and 10 from MPYC the best represented clubs.

In the NS14s Sundaze Sam and Lindy Bailey had a win from Viva la Vida Darren Eggins with fill in crew Megan Jacob in second and Pumpkin Eater Pat Hutton and Kat Oakfield in third and Avengers Lewis Bowen and Jess Smith were sixth.

In the B14s Phantom Steve Miller and Jono Le Bis were second behind Rocket Ship Adrian & Kelly Beswick with Bang Bang with new owner Scott Foster and crew John Adams in third. Jump in' Jack Flash Roger Jackson and Fletcher McCormack were fifth.

In the Sabres it was an excellent fleet of 22 boats and plenty of competition. The winner of the regatta and State Champion was BBB Chris Boon  from Bullet with Butterfly Wings Richard Parker second and Jinx Jason Followes in third.

The best of the MPYC boats was TBA Chris Keil in eleventh place with Raptor Scott Wilkie in fifteenth and Wasabi Guy McDougall seventeenth and Apisca Joann Verrier eighteenth and winning the Ladies section.
