Despite strong winds a number of trainees attended the club for the first training session for 2017-18 and did some theory and knot tying. The new canteen and club house upgrade were on show to everyones delight.

At 2:00pm Rene Hidding officially opened the club and commended the members on the great work upgrading facilities to their current standard.

Chris Keil and Lucas Upton could not resist the opportunity to christen the new Bic's and went out in the 30+ knot breeze to test the durability of our new boats and get a taste for the cold water on offer.

As usual the club put on a fabulous BBQ lunch and sweets making use of the great new facilities in the canteen.
