After looking all week like a nasty start to the season weather wise we had an excellent day. With come and try in the morning (very light breeze) and the Scott Miller Memorial race in the afternoon. Followed by a BBQ to finish off the day.

There was almost no wind in the morning but we stiil got a few people on the water and after lunch a Sail Past with Sorell Mayor Janet Gatehouse on the jetty. The race got away a little late at 14:02 in an extremely light SSE breeze of 5-6 knots with a fleet of five NS14s two B14s a Tasar and a Sabre.  The breeze was quite changable with WSW and litte E but also near zero patches so the fleet did not spread as normal and RO Helen Eggins was forced to shorten the course by bringing the bouys in to shorten the length of the legs. It was still a slow race with Phantom home first in a painfully slow 1:15 with Mussle Tone next 1min 50sec astern and then Early Warning 6 seconds astern once the first few boats finished the breeze started to build with the tail enders finishing in quite a nice breeze.

With such a long race (in time) and only small gaps the final result saw, Apisca  Shane Gorringe first, Noiseworks Stephen Townsend and Leelah Jacobs second and Viva la Vida Darren Eggins and Billie Nelson third.
