It was great to see a good fleet turn up for the second last Pennant race for the season.

Darren Eggins sailed one up in his NS (with a jib) and Scott Wilkie sailed one up in his NS (cat rigged).

Also Jason Followes sailed his SabreBada Bing and friend N Parker also sailed Mick Emery's Sabre.

Tony and Perry got back out in the B14 along with the regular boats.

A fleet of 14 boats eight Sabres three B14s and three NS14s faced the starter at 14:11 with a freshening Northerly of 8-10 knots with gusts to 12 knots or so.

It was an even start with the entire fleet away on starboard the Sabres were soon in a tight battle with front runnersCrossroads and Grasshopper being up staged by Wasabi who narrowly led most of the race. Phantom got the better of the start and rounded the top mark clear ofBang Bang with Pumpkin Eater andSerenity close together.

The B14s cleared out despite the Div 2 longer course and Phantom finished 30 seconds clear of Bang Bang with the Sabres home next led by Wasabi 10 seconds clear of Grasshopper andCrossroads 45 seconds back then About Time with Chris Keil back on the water after his pre Christmas accident thenLoose Change followed by Bada Bing andWetas.

Pumpkin Eater edged out Serenity at the finish with Bumps furthur back and Jumpn' Jack Flash next following a lengthy capsize at the wing mark the first time andRocket Man last home.
