Published Sun 19 Mar 2023

Again the day started with the trainees doing Race Training in the morning and two pennants back to back from 13:00.

At 13:15 the first race got away in a 6 knot SE breeze which was tending left into the East. It was a clean start with a fleet of Four NS14s three Sabres and two B14s all attempting to start at the favoured pin end of the line. By the top mark Phantom had a clear break over Sundaze with other three NS14s all close then Missunderstood. In the Sabres Apisca led Wassabi.

The breeze was different in various parts of the course with a NE at the bottom of the course a SE to S at the top of the course and very little in the middle where the breezes nullified each other.

RO Helen shortned the course to the bottom mark on lap 3 and by then Phantom was about to lap the entire fleet.

Next home was Missunderstood who sailed past all the NS14s down the last reach to finish 25 minutes behind Phantom, then Serenity who got through Sundaze who was next 8 seconds behind and Viva la Vida who was a furthur 10 seconds astern. In the Sabres Wasabi led Apisca home.
