The day started with both the novice and more advanced trainees on the water in Pacers Bics and a Sabre.
After lunch Pennants five and Six were run back to back.
Pennant 5 got away at 13:23 with a good fleet of two Sabres two B14s and six NS14s in a stable SSE breeze of around 10knots with gusts to about 15knots.
It was a good even start that saw a tight bunch up at the top mark with Phantom first from Serenity , Bang Bang and Viva la Vida all close behind. In the Sabres Loose Change and Wettas were very close together as they were for the entire race. By the wing mark and then the bottom mark Phantom was well clear and Bang Bang was ahead of the NS14s with Serenity leading .
At the finish it was Phantom four minutes clear of Bang Bang with Serenity a further six minutes astern closely followed by Aquaholic, Sundaze and Viva La Vida all within the next 30 seconds. It was great to see new member Keith Midson out for the first race with daughter Eve in Just Ice.
Loose Change held on for a narrow win over Wettas.

Pennant 6
Pennant 6 got away at 14:45 in the same breeze as the previous race and again it was a good even start with a tight race to the top mark with Phantom first after a close shave with Serenity Sundaze Viva la Vida and Bang Bang all close behind. In the Sabres again it was Loose Change just clear of Wettas. By the bottom mark Phantom had a good lead with Bang Bang just clear of Sundaze Viva and Serenity . By the finish it was Phantom five and a half minutes clear of Bang Bang with serenity next a furthur two and a half minutes behind. Next Aquaholic 17 seconda away with Sundaze another 15 seconds. In the Sabres Loose Change held off Wettas by 16 seconds.
