The fleet of three Sabres, three NS14s and a cat got away on time at 14:00 in a NNE breeze of 11 knots with some 15 knot gusts.
Viva la Vida held off Serenity (being sailed one up) for the entire race though it was tight. Chris Keil was first Sabre aroung the top mark with a decent lead over Wasabi but as the race progressed the lead was narrowed and by the finish was just 3 seconds.
Aquaholic had a slow first beat but eventually took the lead being first boat home by nearly a minute and a half, Pumpkin Eater struggled to pick the breeze and was well back and Wettas dropped back on the first lap and struggled around at the back end.
