A good fleet of nine Sabres seven B14s six NS14s and three Flying 11s heading out for a 13:30 start.
The breeze was moving around delaying the start but we eventually got away with the course set for the predominant breeze.
In the flying 11s who got away first it was NV Bella Carter and Angus Johnson first Flying Colours Hamish Manners and James Manners second and Adrenaline Nueng Wirong and Song Wirong third.
In the Sabres TBA Chris Keil first Jinx Jason Followes second and Dinky Di John Cerutty third.
In the NS14s Spinifex Peter and Matthew Davis first Serenity Scott Wilkie and Billie Salter second and Avengers Lewis Bowen and Jess Smith in third.
In the B14s Rocket Ship Nick Richardson and Natalia Wisniewska first (by a long way) Bangbang Scott Foster and Tony Miller second and On the Edge Brady Tassiker and Craig Peach in third.
Before the next start could get away a big southerly came in with steady 25 knots plus so the RO abandoned the days sailing and sent the fleet ashore. Unfortunately there was a fair bit of damage to the fleet with a broken B14 mast and a destroyed jib and other minor bits of damage throuought the fleet.
We are off to an early start tomorrow with a 10:30 first warning.
