Pittwater Regatta day 2 and final result

Published Sun 03 Dec 2023

Another day of steady breezes and lots of tight racing.

We got away at 12:00 in a light SE breeze of 8-11 knots with both the base breeze and the gusts slowly building to give us the best conditions in the fourth race.

In the Sabres it was Bullet with Butterfly Wings from Hailstorm with Vinylester Madness third, the NS14s Noiseworks again and in the B14s Bang Bang from Bondi Tram and Dutch Rudder in third.

Race two got away in slightly stronger conditions and in the Sabres it was Dinki Di from No Mischief then Halestorm and in the NS14s Avengers go a win.

In the B14s it was Phantom from Dutch Rudder and Early Warning in third.

We had a bit of a delay while the course was reset for race 3 and the wind had built a bit more and in the Sabres it was Paddywack first This is it next and TBA in third again Avengers took the gun in the NS14s .

In the B14s it was On the Edge from Bondi Tram and Phantom in third.

The final race was sailed in the best breeze of the day with about 12-15 knots and one B14 OCS at the start, in the Sabres it was Paddywack again from The Cape and Halestorm in third in the NS's Noiseworks got the final win and in the B14s after an individual recall three boats went back but unfortunatly one didn't quire fully re cross the line and so was OCS.
