With the NS fleet away at Montrose RO Helen Eggins decided to put on a four race short course series to make use of the great conditions.

The racing got underway at 13:10 in a light but steady SSE breeze of around 10-12 knots with a good fleet of seven Sabres and two B14s.

By the end it was Phantom first from Early Warning and in the Sabres Sweet Disposition from TBA and Apisca not far back.

On handicap it was Wind Wizard Sarah Michael first Early Warning Ross Daley and Tony Van Galen second and About Time Sarah Heywood third.

Race two saw the breeze build a little more as it did for the rest of the day. The same fleet competed and this time it was Early Warning from Phantom and TBA over Sweet Disposition and Apisca third.

On handicap it was Early Warning first About Time second and Wind Wizard third.

Race three had a little more breeze and some cheeky starting tactics from Chris Keil in TBA. By the finish it was Phantom from Early Warning and Sweet Disposition next then Apisca ahead of TBA.

On handicap it was About Time first Early Warning second and Wind Wizard third.

The final race of the day had the strongest breeze with 14-17 knots nd was started under a black flag as Helen had seen enough of the starting shenanigans.  By the finish it was Early Warning from Phanton with TBA first Sabre from Sweet Disposition and Loose Change Phil Bloomfield next. It was a great effort by the three trainee sailors with the Two Sarah's fighting it out each race and Shane in On the Edge sticking it out to the end in each race,

On handicap it was Early Warning first Wind Wizard second and About Time third.

Overall result was

Early Warning Ross Daley and Tony Van Galen first Wind Wizard Sarah Michael second on a count back from About Time Sarah Heywoos third.

As most of our fleet will be at Lindisfarne next week there will be Race Training in the morning but no racing in the afternoon, feel free to come down for some practice is the weather is good though. Also the following week the club is closed as we will all be up at Beauty Point for the Block Buster.
