The breeze was a bit strong for the trainees so it was theory and knots. After lunch the boats headed out in a fresh breeze for pennants 7 & 8 which got away at 13:03 with four Sabres and a windsurfer. Then at 13:08 a good fleet of seven NS14s and last at 13:14 four B14s all in a pretty shifty NNW breeze fluctuating between 10-18knots with gusts in the 20's. As the breeze was shifting widely there was no "favoured" end of the start and it was a lucky dip as to who won the start. There were a few casualties during the race with one Sabre the Windsurfer and three of the four B14s retiring and one NS didn't make the line on time and another retired. At the finish it was TBA first Sabre with a big margin over Loose Change just ahead of Apisca. In the NS14s Serenity 12 seconds clear of Viva la Vida and Sundaze a further 20 seconds astern. Early Warning was the only finisher in the B14s.

By the start of the second race the breeze was abating a bit but by now another Sabre had headed in and all the B14s decided to call it a day.
The start for the Sabres was at 14:05 with just the two starters and the NS14s away at 14:08 with a good fleet of six boats still competing. As the race progressed the breeze died even further with some quite big holes bit still the occasional gust to keep the fleet honest.
By the finish it was TBA first in the Sabres from Loose Change and in the NS14s visiting boat Spinifex had a good win 22 seconds clear of Sundaze with Under the Radar sailing a great race to be just another 29 seconds back in third.
