After Lunch the Trophy race got away at 13:17 with a reduced fleet of four NS14s and two B14s and Sabres.
The breeze had been southerly all day and fluctuated between 5 and 15 knots in the morning and settled in at about 15 knots with gusts to 18 by start time.
Pumpkin Eater Melinda Lord and Georgia Ottway had a great start and the first three NS's had a tight battle to the top mark with Viva la Vida with Darren (Gusty) Eggins in his Tigers top first followed by Serenity and then Pumpkin Eater.
The two B14s were first and second at the top mark with Bang Bang ahead of Phantom and Loose Change well clear of LMG.
On the triangle the first two boats held position with Serenity passing Viva only to go for a swim, although only for s few seconds, on the sausage and handing the lead to Viva who held on to the finish,
Bang Bang decided not to fly the kite on the final triangle but after a disasterious drop on the sausage Phantom decided to do the same and take the preasure of the new crew.
At the finish it was Bang Bang well clear of Phantom with Viva la Vida Darren Eggins and Alastair Lord first NS over a minute clear of Serenity with Pumpkin Eater over two minutes furthur back Sundaze sailed one up by Sam Bailey eventually retired and Norwegian Blue in only their second outing found the going a bit tough and finished behing the Sabres.
