Great to see a mixed group out doing race training in the morning and a respectable fleet for the afternoon trophy race. It was a messy start out off the club house but by the top mark it was Jumpin Jack Flash first Early Warning and Phantom with a small gap to the first NS Sundaze I think and TBA with a good lead in the Sabres. At the wing mark all the B's tightly packed and unfortunately there was contact and a tangle with Phantom facing the wrong way and Early Warning in the drink Jumpin Jack Flash got away un scathed with a substantial lead which they held to the end beating Phantom by 1:50 and Early Warning a furthur 1:10 behind. Avengers was the first NS 12 seconds ahead of Sundaze being sailed one up by Sam Bailey and Norwegian Blue a further 5 minutes astern. Viva la Vida broke a main halyard and finished under jib. In the sabres TBA had a masive lead of over 5 minutes ahead of Loose Change and the two Sarah's had a great battle with Sarah Michael home by 2 seconds from Sarah Haywood.
On handicap it was Jumpin' Jack Flash Roger Jackson and Luke Verceli first TBA Chris Keil second and Avengers Lewis Bowen and Jess Smith in third.
Next week is week two of race training and two Penants.
