Very little wind this morning for our trainees who had some drifting practice. After lunch we only had a small fleet with the NS14s at a TT in Montrose and the majority of Sabres at the ITSABOAT race at Bellerive.
Non the less three Sabres and two B14s headed out with a lovely sea breeze making for a fun couple of races.
Jo-Anne Verrier, Sarah Michael, Safiya Davidson and Jess Smith won the Elliot 7 series at the Tasmanian Women’s Keelboat Regatta sailed today at BYC.
Good luck to our MPYC ladies in Tasmanian Women's Keelboat Regatta this weekend.
Jo-Anne Verrier, Sarah Haywood, Sarah Michael, Safiya Davidson are all sailing with big hopes for a good result, with three in the one boat and Sarah Haywood on a different boat.
On Sunday 22nd February we managed to do some on shore flag recognition and start best practice before calling the afternoons sailing off with a damaging wind forecast and very nasty breeze on the bay.
No club racing on Sunday 1st with nasty conditions and only a small turn up on the day.
We now plan to sail three races per Pennant day for the next few weeks to catch up.
The B14s were at Leven Yacht Club for the State Titles over the weekend 31st January 1st Feb and day one was beautiful conditions on Bass Straight but unfortunately not so good on Sunday.
Most of our NS14s ventured up to Beauty Point for the State Titles over the Australia Day long weekend which was dominated by Under the Radar but the rest of the fleet had a good battle.
