Training and later Trophy races

Very little wind this morning for our trainees who had some drifting practice. After lunch we only had a small fleet with the NS14s at a TT in Montrose and the majority of Sabres at the ITSABOAT race at Bellerive. Non the less three Sabres and two B14s headed out with a lovely sea breeze making for a fun couple of races.

Good luck to our MPYC ladies in Tasmanian Women's Keelboat Regatta this weekend. Jo-Anne Verrier, Sarah Haywood, Sarah Michael, Safiya Davidson are all sailing with big hopes for a good result, with three in the one boat and Sarah Haywood on a different boat.

Sailing cancelled training on shore with wild winds

On Sunday 22nd February we managed to do some on shore flag recognition and start best practice before calling the afternoons sailing off with a damaging wind forecast and very nasty breeze on the bay.

NS14 Nationals start in Chelsea tomorrow.

Starting tomorrow, 5 January, the NS14 National Titles are being hosted by the Chelsea Yacht Club Inc Victoria Australia. Of the 8 crews representing Tasmania, 5 have travelled from Midway Point Yacht Club. It's fantastic to yet again see our club being so strongly represented on the national stage.
