Opening Day 2023-24

Only a couple of weeks to opening day, with come and try in the morning and the Scott Miller Memorial race in the afternoon.

There will be a working Bee at the club on Sunday 15th of September (this weekend). The objective is to clean up the grounds ready for opening day, so mowing wiper snipping and general clean up. We may need to trim some trees as well. Starting at 9:00am until midday.

Lock changed on the club gate today

The lock on the Yacht Club gate has now been changed and you will need a 2024-25 key to access the ramp and jetty.

Gate Key change of lock for 2024-25 season

As per previous seasons the lock on the Access Gate will be changed on Sunday 8th of September2024 and to continue to have access to the launching ramp and jetty you will need to obtain a new key.

Causeway and Bridge duplication

All users of the clubs facilities please note that during the week Monday to Friday during August, September and October 2024 there will be heavy equipment using the Jetty Ramp and parking area while a drill rig is positioned at the bridge doing core samples. Feel free to continue to use the clubs facilities but be aware not to block assess to the workers using the area.

MPYC boats do well at the Block Buster Regatta

No sailing at MPYC on the 18th but many of our boats were away up at Beauty Point at the Block Buster Regatta sailed on the 17th & 18th which also doubled as the Sabre State Titles.

B14 States finally get on the water

After being blown out on both Friday and Saturday we got away at 10:00 am this morning with six races back to back. It was still pretty fresh on occasions but there was some excellent sailing.

B14 State Titles this weekend

The International B14 State Championships will be run by the club this weekend Friday 26th & Saturday 27th with Sunday 28th set aside for resails if required only.

B14 State Titles 26-27 and if needed 28th January

The B14 State Championships are at MPYC this year over the Australia Day long weekend. There are already a number of boats sailing out of the club but we expect boats to travel from all over the state to compete, it should be a great event.

Christmas break up day and Pursuit race

We were lucky with the weather and had the kids out on the ski biscuit in the morning Santa at 12:00 with some snacks. At 2:00 a pursuit race that ended up with some close racing and then finished off with a BBQ a great day to finish off the first half of the season.

Allsands Trophy Mini series

The final week of training in the morning with plenty of time on the water. A set of micro races were run as the Allsands Series this afternoon with a good fleet and a nice breeze (mostly).
