A great day at the club with the trainees out in a nice breeze, followed by lunch where everyone got together.
Next Santa payed a visit with lots of gifts for both young and old.
Then the Allsands trophy race in a nice fresh warm northerly and to finish off sweets and a cool drink. a perfect way to end the first half of the season.
A pretty good fleet of 14 Sabres 7 NS14’s and 4 B14’s took to the water in a freshening Northerly after a very quiet morning for the first time in a week.
Unfortunately on Sunday the weather did not play ball and despite a lull around 11:00 by start time the gusts were 28-30 knots and there was no racing on Sunday so results were unchanged from Saturday
After a quiet but wet start with the trainees on the water in good conditions the forecast for the afternoon was for a bit of breeze.
With the NS14s not sailing and only one B14 the three Sabres made it a training day.
Another great day on the water for the trainees with a nice (gentle) breeze and plendy of time on the water.
After Lunch Pennant races 7 & 8 back to back with almost perfect conditions.
A near perfect day got away with the trainees all on the water in the pacers and after lunch Pennants 5 & 6 sailed in a steady southerly with no major wind shifts and a gradually building breeze.
After a wet start the Car Boot Sale and Fair went off with a bang with a good turn up of participants and lots of new faces at the club over the duration of the event,
The phone books for Midway Point and Sorell have been delivered to the club.
We would like to start deliveries this week and Saturday and finish off next week and Saturday.
A very cool day and breeze greeted the sailors as season 2020-21 kicked off, a good fleet and some lively racing followed and once ashore and refreshed the Trophies for 2019-20 were presented.
Opening Day this Sunday 27th september 2020.
