With just the B14s flying the flag for MPYC it was good to see some great performances from our boats.

Christmas break up day 2017

It was great to finish the first half of the season with a beautiful day and a nice breeze and a good turn up.

Orbit Lighting Trophy

The trainees had some time on the water with Lucas taking them out one at a time in the still fresh conditions.

Midway Boats do well at BMW Showdown

In the NS14 class, club boats The Avengers Jason & Harry Followes were first and Serenity Scott Wilkie and Gus Wilkie were second.

Pittwater Regatta this weekend

With their Christmas Nationals and in some cases World titles now not far off the Pittwater Regatta is a great lead up event especially for the B14 Class whose Nationals and Worlds will be held in Tasmania this year.

The shed is almost finished

From nothing a couple of weeks ago to a slab last week, now we have the completed shed which looks great and will allow boats to be stored on site again.

A slab is born

After a long day at the club we now have all the footings and slab poured.

Opening Day blow out

Despite strong winds a number of trainees attended the club for the first training session for 2017-18 and did some theory and knot tying.

Canteen nears completion

The new commercial vinyl laid both in the canteen and disabled toilet down stairs and the new carpet tiles in the clubhouse it is looking spot on.

MPYC goes back to School

This Friday we will take a variety of boats to Sorell school including of course one of our new Bic trainers.

After our great win as the 2017 Club of the Year at the Yachting Tasmania awards night the club is front and centre in the local paper the Sorell Times.
