It is that time of year again and we have 2680 books to deliver so a little help would be appreciated.

Opening Day 2023

What a great day, we had some new faces around the club for come and try. A brilliant fleet with more new boats and some returning sailers, some excitement on the water and a BBQ to finish off the day.

Opening Day Sunday 24th September

Opening Day this Sunday which included our come and try in the morning, normal lunch with the official opening at 12:00 and sail past at 12:30 with the Scott Miller Memorial race at 13:00. After sailing will be a BBQ and we would ask members to bring a plate of salad or sweets.

Gate Keys

The lock on the gate will be exchanged for the 2023-24 version tonight Sept 8th. If you need access the new keys are now available.

Registration Night

Registration Night is on Friday 8th September from 18:00 and it is also a social event.

Mick Emery

The club will be holding a function to celebrate the life of Mick Emery on Friday 25th August from 5:00pm. All members and friends are invited to attend. ‘The funeral will be on Monday 21st of August at 10am at Turnbull Funerals in North Hobart.

Our good mate, Rescuer, trainer and elf has sadly left us.

Trophy Night 2022-23

Another big night at the club with all the trophies and Training Certificates for the season distributed.

National Volunteer week

MPYC and Australian Sailing celebrate “National Volunteer Week” and we thank all our dedicated volunteers that make our club work as that is all we have no paid staff just a group of great volunteers..

Jetty work continues

After a working bee on Saturday we have 7 new poles on the jetty and more to do tomorrow, Sunday.

The timber we require to finish the jetty and repair the broken pole have been delivered to the club and are stored in the boat shed awaiting a low tide where we can have a working bee and install the new poles and replace the broken one.

Pennant 15 & 16 26th March 2023

With little wind in the morning the trainees sailors did theory only this morning. In the afternoon a nice steady SSE breeze allowed great sailing in Pennants 15 & 16.

NS14 State Titles Deviot SC

Some of our club sailors ventured up to Deviot for the 2023 NS14 State Titles. Congratulations to Darren and Georgia who took out second.
