Another great day on the water with the race training in the morning and three of the boats joining in for the afternoon short course series, and they all finished all four races.
Another perfect day on the water with a gentle breeze for pennant 11 and 12 and during Pennant 12 the sea breeze filled in to 17 knots and gusts to 20 getting the fleet really going. In the morning four boats took part in the race training.
The ITSA boat race at Lindisfarne is on Sunday 12th NOT this coming weekend therefore we have moved Pennants 11 & 12 to this weekend 29th January and Trophy races on the 12th of February.
With all of our classes having their National Titles in Tasmania we will have many sailors participating as well as some in the Sharpie Titles at RYCT.Updated 14th Jan
Christmas Breakup day started early with a group of trainees on the water for one more sail in near perfect conditions. There was lots of progress made and a well worth while exercise. Followed by Santa who arrived by boat to delight the little ones. Then the Allsands Trophy race in the afternoon followed by a BBQ tea to finish off the first half of the season.
The trainees had a good session on the water today with the advanced group practicing starting and the beginners tackling tacking and jibing.
There was a decent breeze making it a good learning curve for everyone.

Most of our Sabre sailors were away this weekend at the State Titles on the Derwent as part of the Showdown Regatta.
Lauren Keil was the top local sailor in 10th position and first female as well as first on handicap in the 23 boat fleet with Chris Keil next in eleventh.

A good fleet and promising breeze as we headed out however as usual this season a very changeable and difficult breeze restricted us to just one race.
So Now we have an early 10:00am start for tomorrows racing with hopefully seven races.
